About the stone: Turquoise

From far reaching cultures such as those of ancient Egypt, China, and Native American Tribes, Turquoise has been treasured for millennia. Turquoise only forms in dry barren regions where copper-rich groundwater seeps down and reacts with minerals containing phosphorus and aluminum. Whether a clear field of striking color or the unique patterns of matrix, it's a stone with clear presence.

Turquoise can be damaged by acids, and it can be discolored by certain chemicals, cosmetics and even skin oils or perspiration. It’s safe to clean turquoise jewelry with warm, soapy water, but it should never be cleaned with steam or ultrasonic cleaners. Heat or solvents can damage the treated surfaces on some turquoise.
About the stone: Amethyst

A member of the quartz family, amethyst has been prized since ancient times for its rich spectrum of violet, from delicate lilac to deep royal purple. A less common amethyst variety is lovely shades of crisp mint green. Cool and confident at any scale.
