About the stone: Amethyst

A member of the quartz family, amethyst has been prized since ancient times for its rich spectrum of violet, from delicate lilac to deep royal purple. A less common amethyst variety is lovely shades of crisp mint green. Cool and confident at any scale.

Care
Amethyst can be safely cleaned with warm soapy water. Ultrasonic cleaners are usually safe except in the rare instances where a stone is dyed or treated by fracture filling. Steam cleaning is not recommended, and amethyst should not be subjected to heat.

Care
Can be soaked for 10 minutes in a solution of lukewarm water and mild soap. Use a soft-bristled brush to scrub, if needed. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry completely. Avoid harsh chemicals, steam or ultrasonic cleaners.
