Captured Dendritic Agate Teardrop Pendant
Dendritic agate is captured in an oxidized silver frame with one crossbar of 14k gold in front and one crossbar of sterling silver in back. 14k gold rings accent the oxidized silver chain.
The tree-like inclusions in dendritic agate are formed from iron and manganese ions that seep through fine surface fractures in the agate from neighboring rock formations. The impurities crystallize inside the stone in branching formations. No two stones are alike.
For collectors who prefer flexibility when buying pieces priced $2500 and up, arrangements for 2-4 payment installments are available. Contact Hilary to discuss options.
About the stone: Agate
Part of the chalcedony family, agate comes in numerous varieties, each with its own character. With intriguing plays of transparency, striking ribbons of color, and fern-like dendrites formed from traces of iron and manganese, each stone is singular. No two pieces repeat, part of its intrinsic charm.
