Plique-a-jour Floret Earrings

Colorful plique-a-jour earrings with a floret pattern inspired by the urban infrastructure in Arta, Mallorca. When the sun shines through, these earrings light up with bright colors, like little secrets waiting to be revealed.

Plique-a-jour is a centuries-old enameling technique whereby transparent enamel (glass) is inlaid into open spaces in the metal and then fired in a kiln repeatedly until the desired level of enamel is achieved. Scroll to see a few process images.
