About the stone: Chrysoprase
The most valuable of the chalcedonies: apple green, colored by nickel, opaque enough to read as pure color, translucent enough to add intrigue. Australia's Marlborough fields set today's standard. The green is even, saturated, and needs no facets to hold a room. Fresh without trying.
